About Us
Archita Agarwal, Founding Chocolatier

Some of my sweetest childhood memories were wrapped in chocolate. The sweet warmth of my grandmother's kitchen, a beautifully packaged box brought home by someone returning from abroad, and the joy of picking out treats on summer vacations—it was never just about the chocolate itself. It was about what it represented: comfort, joy, and a world beyond my own.
That fascination turned into a calling. With a background in Biology & Chemistry, and a Master’s in Management from the University of Warwick, I set off to France, to learn the craft of fine chocolate-making. Trained at renowned institutions like ENSP - Ducasse Education and Bellouet Conseil, and having honed my skills at prestigious chocolatiers like William Curley (sold at Harrods) and Café Pouchkine, I returned home with a singular vision—to create chocolates that could rival the finest in the world, right here in my country.
I founded The Cacao Pods in 2016, to craft chocolates of the highest quality using only the finest natural ingredients, free of preservatives. For five years, I handcrafted chocolates that became a part of people's most meaningful moments—weddings, birth announcements and other celebrations of love and joy.
But life, like fine chocolate, has its bittersweet notes. In 2021, I entered a new chapter of life, pressing pause on the passion I had poured my heart into. My journey later took an unexpected turn, one that tested my strength and resilience. In 2024, as I found myself at a major crossroad, navigating some of the hardest moments, I returned to the one thing that had always given me solace—’CHOCOLATE’. What once brought me pure joy now became my anchor. A quiet refuge where I would escape the weight of an ending I never expected, yet in that very process, reclaim the identity I had lost along the way.
In an era where fine cacao is more precious than ever, The Cacao Pods returns with a bold vision: to craft chocolates that balance sweetness with depth, surprise with texture and flavor, and create space for meaningful connection. More than indulgence, our chocolates are an invitation to feel seen, remembered, and celebrated. Each piece carries a story - of transformation, of strength wrapped in softness, of craftsmanship meeting quiet luxury. Because for me, chocolate has never been just about taste. It's about a feeling. A feeling of comfort in difficult moments. Of joy in simple ones. Of togetherness in celebratory moments. And that is what The Cacao Pods is back to bring. To make you ‘FEEL’ the moment.
